Mix & Mash Video Competition
Working with Creative Commons UK and Google UK, we created this simple site for the Mix&Mash video remix competition, where entrants remixed public domain and CC-licensed content to create short video mashups.
Creative Commons UK
Creative Commons is one of our favorite net organisations, so we were pleased as punch to be able to work with them on the redesign and rebuild of their UK portal.
InsideOwl
We created the front end and implemented the Textpattern publishing system for this fascinating and multi-disciplinary blog for a sociologist owl somewhere in California.
Steph Ketnick
Steph Ketnick is a Portland, OR-based designer, artist, and illustrator. She also helps to run The Artistery, Portland’s premier all-ages DIY venue. We built a website that has a dynamic thumbnail gallery so that Steph can easily add pieces to her online portfolio.

The Business
The Business, Anacortes’ venerable temple of all things independent and DIY, leaps into the 21st century with a mini site to showcase their upcoming events. Complete with a Textpattern back end for ease of adding news and shows.
KP Studios
Peter and Lisa Kuhnlein are a husband and wife photography team. They shoot nearly everything, from weddings to whales, students to sushi. We designed an elegant, minimalist website to showcase their photographs. Relaunched in March, 2006 with Flash image portfolios and simplified site structure.

An elegant yet informative website for Gracious Living Interiors, an interior design company headquartered in Anacortes, Washington.
What The Heck Fest
What The Heck Fest has been around since 2002 but has never had a substantial web presence. This changed in 2006 when we built a large dynamic site for the Festival. It’s fluid width to adapt to all browser and screen sizes, and easily to update by anyone with a site login.
The Department of Safety
The Department of Safety is a project we co-founded in 2002 with some friends and artists. It’s an all-ages music venue, art gallery, recording studio, art space, and home. We relaunched the site in January 2006 to great fanfare and acclaim.
Spoonshine
The talented folks in Spoonshine needed an easy-to-update website with show calendars, photo galleries, and file upload functionality. They also wanted it to look NICE. Boom!
The Poison Dart
A simple yet dynamic mini-site for The Poison Dart, a band based out of Anacortes, WA and Langley, BC. Family’s Founder, Alex Mahan, is a member of the band along with Megan McDonald and Jay Arner.
Invisible City
Our friend Jeremy recently started an independent booking agency and he needed a REALLY GOOD website. So we made him an EVEN BETTER website than the one that he was expecting. Hey, that’s just the way we roll.

The Fields Family have been fishing together for over 50 years. Their salmon fishing business, Fields & Sons, Inc., has grown to be one of the largest family owned salmon operations in the State of Alaska. Kodiak, AK.
Marriage Records
Curtis, Adrian, Laurel and Fox run Marriage Records in Portland, Oregon. This “art-deco” site showcases their musical releases, poetry, art, video, and much more.
Boo-Shoot Gardens
Boo-Shoot Gardens, headquartered in Anacortes, WA, offers the most complete wholesale bamboo program in the country. And they are great people to boot. Site designed through How It Works.
Digital Hearth
Another lovely minimalist website with lots of white space. Digital Hearth is a blog that’s been around for about 5 years now, and this is the fourth iteration of the site.
